Do I need to be an experienced cyclist? +
No – our club is open to all levels. We have ride paces for beginners and experienced riders alike.
How do I get my rider perks? +
After joining our Strava group, following on Instagram and joined us for a couple of rides. Ask Johnny to send you the exclusive discounts to you via WhatsApp.
Is there a membership fee? +
No, joining Stamford Cycling Club is free!
When are the group rides? +
We ride every Sunday at 7:30am, with extra midweek rides announced via WhatsApp and Instagram.
What if I don’t use Strava/WhatsApp/Instagram? +
No problem! Join anyway you like, but we recommend all three for the full experience and to unlock all perks.
Are there any family-friendly cycling routes in Stamford? +
Yes! We have mapped several family-friendly routes, such as the ‘Stamford Training Wheels’, which is away from traffic and perfect for young riders learning to cycle.
Can you recommend local cycling routes? +
Of course! Some popular options include the Stamford to Pickworth Loop, Rutland Water with Peninsula, and Stamford to Little Bytham. These routes showcase the beautiful countryside around Stamford.
What if I have questions before my first ride? +

I’m ready, but my bike isn’t. Where can I get my bike serviced locally? +
Stamford Cycleworks offers excellent servicing and repair options with collection and delivery services available. They’re highly recommended by our community, along with Richardsons Cycles. Check out our Local Hub for locations.
