| KICKR CORE 2 trainer | The Wahoo smart trainer that creates the resistance. ROUVY says it follows real ROUVY gradients and gives you power data. |
| Virtual shifting | Gear changes from the handlebars. ROUVY describes it as quiet and customisable. |
| ROUVY Personalised Sticker Set | Included at no extra cost when you buy through ROUVY’s e-shop. It changes the look only. |

What does the ROUVY Edition add?
The ROUVY Edition is standard Zwift Ride V2 hardware plus a ROUVY Personalised Sticker Set, included at no extra cost when you buy through ROUVY’s e-shop. It isn’t different hardware or a different bike. ROUVY designed the stickers around four reasons people ride: people, places, progress and the challenge ahead. Its tagline for the set is “Your ride. Your reason.” It’s a nice touch for a frame that lives in the spare room and fits in perfectly with Stamford Cycling club ethos.

What do buyers say?
ROUVY’s e-shop shows 4.9 out of 5 stars from 410 customer reviews, with 99% saying they’d recommend it (checked 12th October 2026). Those are ROUVY customers’ reviews, not mine. Once mine arrives and I’ve taken it for a spin, my review will follow.
Why we’re using this setup at Stamford Cycling
Our 7:30am Sunday rides out of Stamford carry on all winter. That part doesn’t change. It’s the rest of the week that gets tricky. The clocks go back on 25th October. The lanes around Stamford and Rutland are dark by teatime so midweek riding turns into a bit of a lottery.
Thursday socials are coming back as a virtual ride on ROUVY. If you’d like to try the app before buying anything, our ROUVY free trial page has the offer and the sign-up steps. This page is about the hardware side of it.
We haven’t ridden this bundle yet, so for now this page is a buyer’s guide. As soon as I’ve put some indoor miles on one, I’ll be sure to add a full review.
Is the Zwift Ride V2 with KICKR CORE 2 right for you?
It suits riders who want a permanent, shared or always-ready indoor setup with an easy-to-adjust fit. It’s overkill if you already own a smart trainer you like. Here’s how I’d split it:
It’s a good fit if:
- You want a permanent indoor setup, so there’s no faffing with your road bike every time you fancy a session.
- You’d rather keep your good bike clean and sweat-free through the winter.
- Structured workouts, group rides and racing appeal more than watching a blank wall.
- You’re comfortable with a bigger spend because you’ll be on it most weeks from now until spring.
You might want to skip it if:
- You already have a smart trainer that works well. Buying a second one rarely makes sense.
- You’re outside the fit range. ROUVY lists riders from 146 to 198 cm and a 120 kg weight limit.
- You’re not sure indoor riding is for you. Start with a free trial of the app and borrow a mate’s turbo before spending real money.
- You love mechanical shifting. Shifting here is virtual and done from the handlebars, so there are no mechanical clicks like a Shimano groupset. ROUVY calls it quiet and customisable. Johnny will report back on how it feels.
